Clean Water Brings Hope to a Village in Nigeria

The installation of a new water well in a rural Nigerian village has transformed daily life for its residents. Before the well was built, women and children had to walk miles each day to fetch water from a contaminated stream.

"The water was dirty, and many children were getting sick," says village elder Chief Okonkwo. "Now we have clean water right in our village, and the health of our children has improved dramatically."

Our water project included:

• Building a water tower and distribution system
